Today I did something I tend to do, I ignored problem signs with my car and it bit me in the ass. I noticed that my voltmeter on the dash was fluctuating while on my way to work. When I tried to leave the car wouldn't start. I opened the hood and saw that the old negative battery cable (from when I changed them the first time) was touching the positive terminal on the battery. I tried to jump it and clutch drop it but it didn't start. I'm hoping the short I caused doesn't do any major damage to the car and only drained the battery. My fingers are crossed.
